I studied at The University Of Salford for 3 years studying International Events Management. I gained a lot of different skills and also found what career path I would like to go into.
Speed Of Sight - Charity auction
A part of our multi-level module in year 1 at Salford Business School we were tasked to create a charity auction in aid of Speed Of Sight. The auction took place at The University Of Salford where donations from the team and businesses were auctioned off for the charity. We were lucky enough to receive free pizzas from a local restaurant to give out to our guests. The auction was such a success and we raised an amazing amount for the charity.
Multi-level Young Enterprise - The ASK company
As part of our multi-level project we were tasked to create a product and market it accordingly. We decided to create 'The ASK company'. A product which prevents the spiking of drinks using a very common date rape drug. The team and I were successful enough to be entered into the North-West Young Enterprise competition where we sailed through to the final. During this competition along the way, I was put forward for student of the year, representing the business school of Salford University. This was a big opportunity for me as this achievement lead to being invited to a female founders interview where I was in a meeting room with the likes of Sarah Davies from Dragons Den.Â
The enterprise module has not only helped me achieve these amazing opportunities but it has opened up new doors within my career that I can pursue in the future.
