August 2022 - Present

Wedding and Events Coordinator 

My role consists of supervising a team in a fast paced environment. I am in charge of running weddings from start to finish, leasing with the bride and groom to ensure their day is as perfect as can be. I take pride in my work and ensure every couple is ecstatic with their special day. I am also in charge of keeping a high standard of customer service and ensuring my team is working to the best of their ability.

Assistant Chef - Rhiwderin Inn

I was an assistant chef in a local country pub. I would be responsible for plating up meals as well as being in charge of deserts. I worked this role part-time alongside school.

May 2016 - October 2017

Barista - The Sorting Rooms

I was in charge of making hot drinks to customers. I could confidently use my customer service skills on a daily basis while keeping up a good standard of work. I would serve lunch and work on the post office counter. I worked here on weekends and after school.

May 2017 - October 2020

Waitress - Pizza Hut

I worked as a front of house waitress where I would serve tables food and drinks while making sure their stay was pleasant. I could confidently take payments and deal with cash from customers. I transferred to a Manchester store at the start of my University degree in 2019.

Waitress - The Celtic Manor Resort

I was a waitress for different restaurants in the resort. I would serve tables food and drink while confidently building relationships with customers, taking payments and responding to management and team needs. I would occasionally be moved to different areas in the hotel to help out with events such as conferences and parties. I would work here alongside school part-time.

December 2019 - February 2020

Volunteer Charity Auction Organiser

As part of my first year studying events, myself and my peers helped to organise a charity fundraiser auction in aid of raising money for Speed Of Sight. I was responsible for marketing the event, planning and research, advertising and the execution of the auction. In total we raised over £1000 from the auction as well as donations which all went towards the Speed Of Sight charity

October 2021 - January 2022

Special Events Intern

I work as part of the events team for the ice skating rink at Cardiff Winter Wonderland. I am responsible for checking tickets and bookings, handing out ice skates and working in a busy environment, catering to 500 customers an hour. I am also responsible for managing customers into an orderly line to keep everything moving as quickly as possible. I must deal with customers queries to ensure they are happy with their experience with us.
